Print Edition Submissions

The Harvard Business Law Review (HBLR) stands at the intersection of law and business. Committed to publishing research and commentary on a wide range of developments in business and commercial law, HBLR hopes to bridge the worlds of theory and practice. HBLR welcomes submissions from all members of the business law community, including students, academics, practitioners, regulators, and lawmakers.

We are currently soliciting content for our Fall 2011 issue as well as future issues.

How to Submit

Please submit your manuscript in Microsoft Word format through the Online Submissions Form below. Alternatively, you may email your manuscript in Microsoft Word format to the Submissions Committee at submissions@hblr.org. With their submissions, authors should include their CV or resume (zipped together is recommended if sent via the file upload system below).

Length Limitations

We welcome both full length articles and shorter notes; however, HBLR strongly prefers articles under 25,000 words in length – the equivalent of 50 law review pages – including text and footnotes.

Citation Format

Manuscript citations must conform to the most recent edition of The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation.

Review Process

HBLR carefully reviews all submissions that it receives and notifies authors of decisions via email. If you would like to request an expedited review of your article, please indicate this desire upon submission. We appreciate your interest in publishing with us and look forward to your submissions.
